These Precious Days: Essays (Bloomsbury, 2021) by Ann Patchett is my book club book this month. I’ve read many of the essays in this collection already, but they are all worth reading again!

At just over 1000 pages, The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett is on my Big Book Summer challenge list, so this one will be appearing on my currently-reading list for a while!

This Was a Man by Jeffrey Archer
This Was a Man is the final (7th) book in The Clifton Chronicles, completed for the Big Book Summer Challenge. Woo hoo! If you like family soap operas sagas, you will like these books. Each ends on a cliffhanger, like the old-fashioned serialized novels, but they’ve all been published now so you won’t have to wait to find out what happens.

I listened to all of the Spellman Files books on audio way back and I liked The Passenger, too, but I just listened to The Swallows and liked it so much I had to go right on to The Accomplice.
I would like to read the Clifton Chronicles at some point. He writes a good story. The Furrows sounds interesting.
I loved Ann Patchett’s essay collection on audio… she’s a favorite. I’m doing a read/listen combination of Memphis by Tara M. Stringfellow this week.
