A Mini #Bloggiesta Mini-Giveaway!

DEADLINE EXTENDED TO SEPT. 30TH

For your chance to win a $10 Barnes & Noble gift card, just comment on any page or post on my blog during the weekend of the Fall Mini Bloggiesta, Sept. 21-Sept. 24, or by Sept. 30th. The winner will be announced on Monday, Oct. 2nd.

Following my blog would be lovely, of course, but is not necessary to enter the contest! Anyone who commented on Thursday or Friday before this announcement can count that comment as an entry or leave another one – either way will count as one entry.

Commenting more than once during Bloggiesta is great, because I hearing from you, but won’t count towards multiple entries!

You do not have to be participating in Bloggiesta to win, but there’s still time to sign up if you want to spend time working on your blog this weekend. There are fun Mini Challenges to try, too.

Now I can cross “Update Giveaways Page” off my to-do list!

Six-Year Bloggiversary and Giveaway

cover imageAs of June 3rd, I’ve been blogging about books for six whole years! To celebrate, let’s have a giveaway! One lucky winner will receive his/her very own, brand-new copy of one of my absolutely favorite books ever…The Orphans of Race Point by Patry Francis.

If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you know this is one of my favorite books of all-time. I read The Orphans of Race Point shortly after reading The Goldfinch, which I also loved, and they struck the same emotional chord with me, although they’re very different novels. If you want to, you can read my review here.

This giveaway is open to all. A winner will be chosen by random drawing on Sunday, June 21, the first day of summer here in the U.S. Summer or not, this is a novel to dive into on vacation because you’re not going to want to put it down.

I’d love to hear from you in the comments what OTHER books you’re planning to read in the upcoming months!

Now We Are Six

When I was one,
I had just begun.
When I was two,
I was nearly new.
When I was three,
I was hardly me.
When I was four,
I was not much more.
When I was five,
I was just alive.
But now I am six,
I’m as clever as clever.
So I think I’ll be six
now and forever.
