2015 TBR Pile Challenge Fail and 2016 New Attempt #TBR2015RBR

The Official 2015 TBR Pile Challenge badgeUpdate

I read two from my 2015 TBR Pile Challenge list, but didn’t write reviews for either one yet, so a total fail for me this year!

This challenge was founded and hosted for six years by Adam at Roof Beam Reader. 2012 was my first attempt, in which I failed miserably and read only two books out of ten. 2013 and 2014 were even worse, with only one book coming off each list (Wish You Were Here by Stewart O’Nan in 2013 and The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon in 2014.)

Adam at Roof Beam Reader, has decided to stop issuing the challenge, and so I need to find another TBR challenge for 2016. (I keep reading new books instead of my “old” ones!) In his final TBR Pile Challenge post, Adam suggests a few other similar challenges, so I think I will try, try again with Bev at My Reader’s Block and her Mount TBR Reading Challenge 2016.

Bev’s challenge at My Reader’s Block is to reduce the number of unread books you’ve bought or received as gifts. These twelve have all been purchased by me, given to me as gifts, won in giveaways, or (gulp!) lent to me to read. No review copies are included.

Twelve is the lowest level challenge offered (Pike’s Peak), but it’s still doubtful I will reach the summit…

I am so glad you posted this. I had not heard of Adam’s site and went to check it out. Now it’s bookmarked for later so I can read his posts.

Also, I didn’t know. About a TBR challenge and I am very interested in that! I must live under a rock, always discovering new events long after they are established.
