This may not be the type of “colorful book covers” today’s Top Ten Tuesday topic meant, but here’s my list of top ten off-color book titles that people might be embarrassed to ask for at the library. Sh*t My Dad Says by Justin Halpern may have been the one to start the whole profanity-in-the-title trend?
I was surprised at how many I found that had to do with parenting. I could have done an entire list of colorful parenting book titles.
Hmmm.

Ha ha. Very creative twist on the topic! I checked out a book from the library called HOW TO WRITE A DAMN GOOD NOVEL and my kids were totally scandalized. They couldn’t believe I would read a book with a bad word in the title!
Happy TTT!

Oh my gosh these are awesome!
What does it say about me that this is what I think of when I hear “colorful”? haha
Thanks, Jen! That’s a real honor! 😀
In the days before I used earbuds or a bluetooth thingie, my kids always seemed to walk in just as my audiobook narrator was swearing or describing a risque moment in the story!
Ahhh awesome post! Thanks for reminding me of Shit My Dad Says. I used to follow him on Twitter!
