Book Lists: Best of 2020 Cookbooks #weekendcooking

The time for gift giving may be over, but that doesn’t mean it’s too late to buy yourself a new cookbook! The time for end of the year lists is here, and maybe you received a gift card or didn’t receive any new cookbooks this year. (Whaaaat?)

I I got this one for Christmas…:)

The Apple Lover’s Cookbook: The Classic Guide to Cooking and Eating Apples by Amy Traverso (Norton, 2020) – Revised and Updated Edition

The revised edition of The Apple Lover’s Cookbook: The Classic Guide to Cooking and Eating Apples by Amy Traverso came out in September and was featured on our local NPR news station. The original edition won the 2012 IACP Cookbook Award for Best American Cookbook of 2011.

Author Amy Traverso is food editor for Yankee Magazine, and shared some of the recipes from her updated cookbook in this article, Once More to the Orchard: New Apple Recipes from The Apple Lover’s Cookbook.

Saying “the best of 2020” sounds like an oxymoron, but home cooking got a boost this year (while restaurants took a big hit) and it’s looks like we might all be doing more home cooking than usual in 2021, too, so why not check out these lists of the best cookbooks released in 2020?
