I love Anne Tyler’s books! I bought Redhead by the Side of the Road early in the pandemic; I didn’t start it till this weekend and just finished it tonight. It’s short, but just right!
I’m a little over halfway through Troubled Waters, the sequel to Code Black, and am enjoying the further adventures of the irreverent, wise-cracking “T cop” (Metropolitan Boston Transit Authority Police officer) Morris Fitzgerald, his colleagues on the force, and the city’s subway denizens. Written by a local author from his own experience and an apparently limitless treasure trove of stories about Boston politicians, gangsters, and, of course, the T.
