Arriving home from Nashville today and it’s back to work tomorrow. I didn’t grab any pictures of the books in the airport bookstores this time, so I’ll share some pictures from Nashville instead. (Also, please see yesterday’s Sunday Salon post for a peek at some of Nashville’s indie bookstores.)

Summer on the Bluffs by Sunny Hostin
I’m trying to finish Summer on the Bluffs by Sunny Hostin by the end of today (Labor Day, the unofficial end of summer). It will be my final book read for the Big Book Summer Reading Challenge with Sue Jackson of Book by Book. I should be able to do it, if I don’t end up falling asleep when we get home from the airport.
Fludd by Hilary Mantel
Fludd is on my TBR Pile Challenge list. I was very glad I threw this paperback into my backpack at the last minute because I found out halfway through the 2-1/2-hour flight to Nashville that my copy of Summer on the Bluffs hadn’t been fully downloaded onto my iPad. Disaster averted! 😉
Recently Read
NW by Zadie Smith
NW by Zadie Smith was on my TBR Pile Challenge list, but at 416 pages, it also qualifies for the Big Book Summer Reading Challenge. Not only that, it was a 5-star read!

Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult

The Devil You Know by PJ Tracy

Mother of the Bride Murder by Lucy Meier
This post is linked to “It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?” hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date. Check out the link-up party there for more book lists!
Your trip sounds like a lot of fun. I like the photo of all the girls in magenta cocktail dresses (or whatever they were).

What a gorgeous horse!
I haven’t read anything by Zadie Smith since I didn’t do well with one of her first novels. I might add this one to my list since you liked it so much. Thank you!
My favorite one by her is Swing Time, I think! Or maybe On Beauty.
Nashville looks fun!
Hope you had an awesome Labor Day 🙂
