It’s Monday, What ARE YOU READING? 9-7-20 #IMWAYR #bigbooksummer

Currently Reading / Challenge Wrap-Up

I’ve been reading The Book of Kings for the 2020 Big Book Summer challenge hosted by Sue at Book by Book. Sadly, I didn’t complete even this one book for the challenge, which ends tomorrow.

Final status update for the challenge: I’m on page 663 of this 773-page World War II novel. By reading a chapter every morning, I made it to Armistice Day before the end of the challenge!

Guess the other nine books from my Big Book Summer sign-up post will have to wait!

Mark of the Empress by M. Dalto (Parliament House, 2020)

For library book club this week, I’ve just finished reading Searching for Sylvie Lee by Jean Kwok and am looking forward to discussing this novel of family secrets and sisters with the group.

Temporarily Not Reading

This ebook loan from the library expired before I finished it, and someone else was waiting for it. After renewing it once already. I was so close to the end, too!

I like your little summary of Searching for Sylvie Lee, it does sound interesting and one I wondered about.

I like Jenn McKinlay’s Library Lovers series. I haven’t read Books Can Be Deceiving since I started in the middle of the series and I haven’t had a chance to catch up on the earlier books yet. Check out what I read.

I’m going to add Sylvie Lee to my list, it looks like my kind of book. I love the title Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows, I’ll definitely check it out!

Sorry you didn’t finish your first Big Book, Laurie, but you made a great effort – you picked a whopper for your first one!

Hope you enjoyed the challenge this summer and will sign up again next year!
