No Pulitzer Prize for fiction this year! — Post from The Bluestocking Society this afternoon
I missed seeing The Bluestocking Society as part of Bloggiesta, but discovered it just now during the Twitter frenzy that there is no #Pulitzer Prize awarded for fiction this year.

Someone on Twitter tweeted about the lack of a Pulitzer for fiction: “Now I won’t know which book to feel guilty about not reading!”
I haven’t read any of the three finalists selected, so I don’t have a strong opinion. They all seem to be “distinguished fiction by an American author, preferably dealing with American life” but I guess not distinguished enough!
If I had made a guess beforehand, I would have guessed The Art of Fielding, but I haven’t read that yet either.
Haha I like that one. I hadn’t heard it yet. Now you don’t have to pretend you read it to be intelligent in literary conversation. Actually now you have three books to feel guilty about not reading. 🙂
