(I never thought of myself as “someone who gravitates toward emotional gut punch reads,” but now that BuzzFeed has put it that way…Maybe I am.)

I received Someday, Maybe by Onyi Nwabineli from NetGalley but didn’t get to start it before it was released on the first of this month. It starts out with a young woman grieving the death of her husband with her Nigerian family hovering, unable to break through her wall of misery.

Nigerian-born British author Onyi Nwabineli grew up in Glasgow and lives in London. Someday, Maybe is her first novel.
