Ever since getting overwhelmed with books to review a year ago last fall, I’ve tried to keep the review copies, challenges, and readathons I sign on for to a reasonable amount, but I’m impulsively signing on for this one that starts today, hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It would be great to feel caught up, as I’ve heard some book bloggers are. (Or is that just a myth?)
My goals for the Take Control of Your TBR Pile Read-a-Thon:
- Finish Life after Life by Jill McCorkle
Haven’t had review copy on my Nook that long, but pub date is coming up.
- Start With You or Without You by Domenica Ruta (won from Shelf Awareness)
Missed the pub date on this by a few weeks already (Feb. 26)
- Finish The Flame Alphabet by Ben Marcus
Got to the middle of this and set it aside weeks (months?) ago
- Start one single, solitary book from my RoofBeam Reader 2013 TBR Pile Challenge list
which I haven’t even looked at since January 1
Not sure if this is reasonable for a weekend when I have other plans, but we’ll see how my first book blogger readathon goes. If it’s anything like Bloggiesta, I’ll spend too much time checking in on what everyone else is doing to get much done myself. But that’s part of the fun.
Thanks to Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer for hosting. Anyone can join in; you don’t have to be a book blogger. Visit her blog to sign up.

I give you a lot of credit juggling multiple books at once! I used to be able to do it, but now I mix up the characters and plots.
I’m joining this read-a-thon too! I hope you’re able to get your reading pile read! Have a good weekend.
Good luck! That sounds like a great bunch of books to read! I am not sure which books I will read yet! LOL

Yay for you. I wish I could do this but have a real busy weekend coming up. Hope u accomplish a lot.
Have fun reading! Happy St. Patrick’s Day
Hi Laurie,
Thanks for stopping by Fiction Books today. I love ‘meeting’ new people, so your visits will always be welcome and your comments always appreciated.
I admire that you can read multiple books at the the same time, I am afraid that I have to start and finish one book at a time, if for no other reason than that’s just the way I enjoy my reading.
My TBR shelves, pile and cupboard, is a never ending pit, which I doubt I shall ever see the bottom of, so taking part in a read-a-thon just wouldn’t make a tiny dent in it, I’m afraid. The problem now, is that my troubles have only grown more after reading your post, as I have added ‘Life After Life’ and ‘With You Or Without You’ to it, as they both sound intriguing.
Enjoy your reading and have a good weekend,
Yvonne
You set some great goals! Thanks for joining and I hope you are having fun with the challenges!
