TBR Pile Challenge 2015

The Official 2015 TBR Pile Challenge badgeUpdate

I read two from my 2015 TBR Pile Challenge list, but didn’t write reviews for either one yet, so a total fail. Worse than 2014 and 2013!

Adam at Roof Beam Reader, has decided to stop issuing the challenge, and so I need to find another TBR challenge for 2016 to fail at. (I keep reading new books instead of my “old” ones!)

Here’s my original post:

The Goal: To read and review 12 books from my “to be read” pile in 2015. I’m changing out about half the titles from last year’s list to include more books that I actually own.

My TBR Pile Challenge New List (Same as the Old List)

An Arsonist’s Guide to Writers’ Homes in New England by Brock Clarke
All Is Vanity by Christina Schwarz
Codex by Lev Grossman
Dearie by Bob Spitz
Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides
The Tenth Muse by Judith Jones
Third Girl from the Left by Martha Southgate
The 27th Kingdom by Alice Thomas Ellis
When Tito Loved Clara by Jon Michaud
Wool by Hugh Howey

Two Alternates
The Whole World Over by Julia Glass
How It All Began by Penelope Lively

This challenge was founded and is being hosted for the sixth year by Adam at Roof Beam Reader. 2012 was my first attempt, in which I failed miserably and read only two books out of ten. 2013 and 2014 were even worse, with only one book coming off each list (Wish You Were Here by Stewart O’Nan in 2013 and The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon in 2014.)

Anyone who posts reviews online (GoodReads, LibraryThing, Amazon, B&N, etc.) can sign up for this challenge. You don’t have to have a book blog! Reading and reviewing 12 books enters you in a drawing for a $50 Amazon gift card. Visit Roof Beam Reader for more info and to sign up by January 15th.
