This Top Ten Tuesday list of “authors I’ve read the most books by” includes audiobooks, as that is how I keep up with many of the authors on this list!
Some of my favorite authors are not prolific enough to make this list or else I haven’t been reading them for as long. Or maybe they haven’t been writing for as long as many of these authors!
I used LibraryThing to help me figure out this list, and I’m not 100% thorough at recording my reading there. But the list ends up being 12 because of a two ties for number of books read and I couldn’t bear to leave anyone out.
This list doesn’t include any children’s or young adult authors, either, which would make it a whole different list!
- Lee Child
- Michael Connelly
- Tana French
- Susan Howatch (deceased)
- Laurie R. King
- Stephen King
- G.M. Malliet
- Alexander McCall Smith
- Roland Merullo
- Louise Penny
- Anne Tyler
- Penny Vincenzi (deceased)
Have I included any of your favorite authors? What does your Top Ten list look like?
Other than Stephen King (because who hasn’t read his books), these authors are all new to me. I’ve got some exploring to do!
Great list 😀
Here’s my Top Ten Tuesday.
I’ve read lots (over twenty!) of Anne Tyler’s books. I’ve almost read as many books by Alexander McCall Smith.
I love Anne Tyler! I enjoy McCall Smith’s easy writing style and characters.
Thanks for stopping by!
These are some popular authors here! I’m glad you enjoyed their books so much you read a ton of them!
Tana French is an author I’ve been wanting to read.
Alexander McCall Smith is on my list this week too!
Stephen King was on my list, too!
My TTT .
I haven’t read anything from these authors, but I’ll definitely check them out!
I keep meaning to read Tana French, I feel like I really should have by now.
Great list, thanks for sharing!
Tana French and Louise Penny are both on my list. Multiple coworkers have recommended them.
Stephen King is my most-read author. Someday I’ll read all of his books.
