For this week’s Top Ten Tuesday theme, we’re asked to choose our top ten books we wish we could read again for the first time. My mind went first to childhood favorites – the books I would read over and over. Then I thought of books with surprise endings or twists, but that would be a list full of spoilers.
I don’t do a lot of rereading, so almost all the books I read I’m reading for the first and only time! But there’s a certain magic in the first time reading a book that you love, so this is a list of books that gave me that sense of magic. I don’t know if they’re my actual top ten of all time, but they’re the top ten that came to mind today. If were going to reread a book, these would be among my top choices. In fact, I just did reread A Once and Future King by T.H. White not that long ago.

9. The Sparrow

10. The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry

Bonus 11.
I’m sharing this with Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. You’ll find many other Top Ten book lists there!

I have Charlotte’s Web on my list too!! And I love A.J. Fikry.
The Sparrow was a good book.
I recently read All The light We Cannot See for the very first time and enjoyed it.

I saw Charlotte’s Web on another list today too! It bought back great memories of one of my favourite books from childhood!
I’ve seen both The Book Thief, and Charlotte’s Web on a few lists. D’you know, I don’t recall if I’ve ever read either of them, or just watched the films. I’ll have to look them up.
I loved The Storied Life of A J Fikry when I read it, but it’s been ages! I feel like reading it again now might be pretty much like reading it for the first time. Cloud Cuckoo Clock is also on my TBR, so hopefully I enjoy it as much as you did!
maybe it’s just me but i couldn’t bear the Goldfinch! So long … and not good (to me anyway). But i am not much of a fiction reader tbh. I go for crime and non-fiction!
cheers

Oh yes, Charlotte’s Web! I was just today trying to remember the name of the Connie Willis book that I liked so much—Doomsday Book.
We were on the same wavelength!
