Top Ten Tuesday: Upcoming 2024 Releases I’m Most Looking Forward to Reading (or Listening To)

Today’s Top Ten Tuesday theme is “Most Anticipated Books Releasing During the Second Half of 2024”. Searching for books to include, I’ve discovered that many of my favorite authors/series have new books coming out between July 1st and December 31st!

The books are listed in order of pub date. If I usually listen to the audio editions, I will be listing them as audiobooks. Conveniently, both my birthday and Christmas fall into the last quarter of the year — a big time for book releases — although most of these I’ll probably borrow from the library.

The Bright Sword by Lev Grossman

Viking, July 16

The Masquerades of Spring by Ben Aaronovitch

Audible, Sept. 1

The Life Impossible by Matt Haig

Penguin Audio, Sept. 3

Tell Me Everything by Elizabeth Strout

Random House, Sept. 10

We Solve Murders by Richard Osman

Penguin Audio, Sept. 17

Intermezzo by Sally Rooney

Macmillan, Sept. 24

The Waiting by Michael Connelly

Hachette Audio, Oct. 15

In Too Deep by Lee Child

Penguin Random House Audio, Oct. 22

The Grey Wolf by Louise Penny

October 29

The City and Its Uncertain Walls by Haruki Murakami

Knopf, November 19

The runners-up I couldn’t fit on my list:

  • All This and More by Peng Shepherd (July 9)
  • There Are Rivers in the Sky by Elif Shafak (August 20)
  • Entitlement by Rumaan Alam (September 17)

I’m sharing this with Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. You’ll find many other Top Ten book lists there!
